So the day before yesterday my stepson said something, in such an age-appropriately hilarious context, that I have to share.
We were driving home from the lake, where he had been swimming with his cousins. He’s been having some trouble with his allergies (who hasn’t) and his nose was all plugged up. He was telling me how, while he was swimming, some of the water had gone up his nose and cleaned it out a bit. Then he said:
“But now, it’s all just regenerating in my nose.” And he snorted loudly to illustrate.
Regenerating. His snot was regenerating. How awesome is that? A five-syllable word, used correctly, in the context of his boogers.
I’m so weirdly proud of him.
